2008 Yeungling Nags Head Woods 5K Race a Success!
It was a perfect day for running at the 25th annual Yuengling Nags Head Woods 5K and Village Realty 1-Mile Family Fun Run May 10. Hometown track and cross country star Zach Miller of Kill Devil Hills brought glory to the Outer Banks by crossing the finish line first in 18:11, with Tommy Thomas of Manns Harbor, second. Defending her 2007 title was Jennifer Holiday of Warrington, PA, in 20:22 for the women, with the Gusler twins (Jessica and Jennifer), of Kill Devil Hills, in second and third, respectively. The race attracted some 500 runners from throughout the U.S. and grossed over $30,000 for local charities. It was hosted by the Outer Banks Kiwanis Club and Friends of Jockey's Ridge.

Registration Open for Nags Head Woods 5K Run
Registration is now being accepted for the Yuengling 25th Annual Nags Head Woods 5K Run to be held Saturday, May 10, 2008. The race will start at 8 p.m. The Village Realty 1-Mile Fun Run is also being held this day and will start at 8:30 a.m. Last year more than 500 runners, walkers and volunteers took part in the events. Participants in the 2007 events will automatically receive a 2008 entry form via U.S. Mail. Runners can sign up and pay online by clicking the link to Active.com here or on our NH Woods 5K Run page on this website. Registration packets are also available for download on the same page.
